Education

I have a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Fine Arts and Marketing.  I am currently enrolled in the Masters program in the School of Education at AUM completing a Masters in Collaborative Teaching.

Experience

I began my experience in education twelve years ago when I was hired to teach Pre-K4 for a private school.  I taught Pre-K for eight years and transitioned to Pike Road Schools once they opened four years ago.  I began with Pike Road as a substitute and was hired full time as a Paraprofessional with the sixth and seventh grades.  Since Pike Road's first year I have since worked with the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades.

Bio

I went to high school locally and attended AUM where I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration as well as a minor in Fine Arts and Marketing.  I married my husband Mike in 2001.  After graduation I went to work for Colonial Bank as the Executive Assistant to the COO and Senior Vice President of Loans for the South East.  I worked with the senior level management for five years and transitioned into IT as a Project Coordinator for the loans project team.  After Colonial closed it's doors I began subbing for a local private school.  I then took a full time PRE-K4 teaching position and realized I loved education.  My husband and I planned for years to move to Pike Road and did so in 2015. Once Pike Road Schools opened I began subbing and was hired on full time as a Paraprofessional with the seventh and eight grades.  I have since worked with the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades.  I am currently enrolled in the Masters program at AUM where I will receive a Masters in Collaborative Teaching.  Mike and I have three children that attend Pike Road Schools.  Catalina is fourteen and attends PRHS, Annsley is eleven and attends PRMS, and Sawyer is six and attends PRES.  My goal is to work with as many children as possible to make the best educational impact I can on them while helping educators and the schools achieve success.
